So, this was the second night in a row I've had a disturbingly realistic dream that someone I know has died. It's also like the 23rd night in a row that I haven't had enough sleep. I really don't want to have to drive for two hours tomorrow if I don't get 8 hours sleep tonight.

:crack:

I had a dream that my mum drove through a fence which stretched from one side of the road to the other.

Just went down to the butcher to get a turkey, and on the way back, I walked past a house cranking Lou Bega's Mambo No. 5 really, really loudly. Anybody remember that one? Good lord, felt like it was 1999 again.

I'd just take the whole day off, Alison

I'm listening to Viva La Vida for the first time in fucking ages.

Tempting! But I think they would be rather suspicious... if all the team leaders don't end up doing the same thing. *L*

Gods, why? Or are you trying to re-enact the lead up to Jay-Z's set?

I still haven't actually listened to that album.

1. You're getting a turkey? Awesome.

2. I prefer the Bob the Builder version. *L*

 I probably have that exact CD lying around in the house somewhere. I remember putting it into the computer and seeing that it played the music video for the song. For a while from then on I thought the same could be done with all CDs.

1. We are! Mum and Alan get here on Christmas Day (they're tootling around Seymour area right now), and Alan cooks a mean turkey.

2. Haha, so do I.

Even mine has never heard of Bob the Builder

Children these days. :tsk:

I was in the ABC Shop the other day (the ABC is basically the local front for the BBC and other British television, thinly disguised) and just about wept when I saw what they've done to Thomas the Tank Engine. Who the fuck are all these new characters and WHERE'S RINGO. Kids now wouldn't even know the Ringo-narrated Thomas.

Yes, but not as we know it! It even has a new theme, sung by children. It's basically unrecognisable. But the children's section is full of it, and that Chuggington ripoff.

That reminds me of when I saw Pokemon on tv and saw the voices had been changed, it was like my childhood was being destroyed before me

It's really good. Their best.

What's with the Pokemon revival of late anyway? I haven't actually seen the TV show though - I just know there's a billion more Pokemon than there ever were IN MY DAY.

Myyyy day. God I sound old.

Fine she's excused

Thank you.

Today kids have things like Yo Gabba Gabba to fuel their underdeveloped minds. :tsk:

That shit's atrocious.

I was more of a Digimon guy.

No real revival Nintendo just keep releasing Pokemon games that sell tens of millions and need a half an hour long ad to run for them

When I was 11, I was all "lol Digimon is the lame Pokemon". And what the hell is Yo Gabba Gabba, besides a bastardised Ramones chant or somebody pointing and gibbering about a Brisbane stadium?

Huh, how'd it get past 1pm already. Need to bail, see you folks later!

I don't think the separation of "Axver" and "cynical" is even possible.

It would be like me and potatoes, not possible to contemplate both being separate.

2. Haha, so do I.

1. I now want Charlotte (or the girl that writes the Hyperbole blog) to draw a mean turkey being cooked... or at least Alan battling one into submission.

2. :hi5:
