I finally turned the election results off after a while last night because I was alternating between being depressed and horridly confused at some of the wins (LOL at the comment about U.S. government being confusing. If it makes you feel any better, those of us who live in the U.S. don't always get it, either!). That's hilarious and kinda sad about the sudden attempted mass movement to Canada (
Sobbing? Really? Wow). I would love, LOVE to go visit someday and I've no doubt it's a lovely country to live in, but I feel bad just bailing on my country. Guess the Tea Party's just got some people really terrified (despite their lack of a massive win last night), which, to be fair, I certainly can't blame them in regards to that. And Sarah Palin's comment about too much math...nah. Too easy

I'm generally an optimist, though, so chin up-we just have to fight harder as a result, that's all

Our mistake was getting all cocky in 2008 and just sitting back and basking in our victory, we forgot that people have short attention spans and need actual evidence of all our achievements (how the Republicans are able to get by without producing evidence of their "achievements", I don't know). And we need a much stronger PR system on top of it all. This was an excuse to kick us in the ass and get us energized again.

The picture you said that about makes me wish I could make sexy growling noises without sounding stupid. It...um...DOES things to me... Someone said in here that they've been unfaithful in their Bono drooling as of late...I "cheat" on him with my other guys, too. It's not MY fault there's too many sexy men out there! I'm fully convinced all the guys I have crushes on and I should just move to Utah together and do a reverse polygamous marriage thing

Also, that panda video was bizarre. And totally made me want to go play the Buddy Holly song used in it (random "Hey, isn't that interesting?!" fact: I live in the town where the airport that the plane carrying Buddy, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper took off from is, as well as where the field they crashed is. The town west of me is where the Surf Ballroom they played in that night is. Been there a few times, it's a nice place. Rather depressing fact, yes, but still... My town is also the inspiration for "The Music Man"). I love that song, it's so pretty.
