just had a brief glance before bed at vertigo setlists, early on the setlists didn't change drastically, except for the alamein concerts. but as we know there was a mass gradual change overall

time for bed, may or may not see you briefly in the morning before i head off to work to sweep

Has anyone seen Ali/Ax online yet? They texted me this morning that they arrived in London(waking me up:grumpy: ) and that they were on their way to Cornwall, where they would have internet, with the train, but ever since I haven't seen them online yet.

Oh man, as long as Bono keeps singing "Do You hear us comin'?" One can stay in the show the rest of the tour, far as I'm concerned

One Has been Fix'd? :D

I'm still sick of the song, don't get me wrong, up until Vertigo, I liked the song in the setlist, now its just old and boring, no doubt I'll still sing it in full gusto when and if I get to see 'em.

The song hasn't effected me this way since the day I finally saw Popmart a few years ago. No, I'm glad it's back the way it should be.

What's happenin'.
:D We're just fuckin' around.

It needs to be fixed, the old skool way. Gimme a sharp knife and I'll do it.
I haven't liked it since ZooTv.

Aw. :cute:

Well, I haven't seen it live yet, but with all the bootlegs I've seen and heard it's just so flat now. VT version was awful with the 8 minute speech and it was just a dead song.

Vertigo Tour killed it, and I thought I would never love it again, personally, I'm glad I'm wrong, that's about the size of it. I realize a lot of people don't like the song, I'll never understand the hatred it seems to get, but, hey, I despise If You Wear That Velvet Dress, and I know I'm like the only one who does, so, everyone has strange taste.

Well I don't really hate it, it's just... ugh they need to drop it. My hate comes from the godawful overratedness that song has. Everybody seems to see it as OMG BEST THING U2 HAS EVER DONE. Well fuck that. Sure, it's not a bad song, but to me it's not the great thing they seem to think it is. It's just another average song, not the best of AB by far, and certainly not U2's best song ever!

Studio we can agree. Live, yeah we can agree too, for the most part. God, I just. I feel like it's such a staple. I was saying to someone the other day, we can complain about the static set lists til we're blue in the face, but at the end of the day, you're going to realize, even Bruce Springsteen plays Born to Run at every show.

True, and I think the setlist complaining is way too over the top right now. They just played Electrical fucking Storm and are playing UF and UV! Why complain for god's sake? Be glad with what you get!

And yeah, I do want to hear Streets, I want to hear Pride, SBS and WOWY. I don't know if I'll feel the same after a few gigs, but I do want to hear them now.

The only songs I could really do without are Bullet and One, and yeah, they laid the first to rest. I'm really glad they did that.

I'll admit to rejoicing in the streets that BTBS is gone, and I would buy Bono a Heineken if Pride would disappear.

Hm, well according to those who heard the boot it seems like Pride and SBS got a new energy or so. I'll judge once i've heard it!

Funny that, since it's from TUF. :p

I'm glad to hear that, I'm sure it'll be a blast live anyway!

:uhoh: Does it have a Bono speech?

No speeches. There are really no speeches but Bishop Tutu, and he's ADORABLE. No, mostly there's some Bono ranting, and that's about it, far as I could tell.

You can ask Axver, when I listened to Barc 1's boot for the first time, I was pretty much wincing all through SBS expecting "NO MORE" and speeches and stuff, instead, Bono rapped. It's pretty great

And yeah, it is amazing that there's anything about the tuf era I don't like, but there it is

Yeah, music >>> speeches.

:crack: And now people are convinced U2 is going to play Acrobat tonight because some twat put a fake clip on youtube. Gullible much?

Oh man are you serious? Douchebags!

Yup. And people do not believe ME when I say it's fake. :crack: ugh.

As if U2 would fly to Dublin to rehearse that when they're in the south of France with a full recording studio and also can rehearse in the claw. :crack:

Ah well, I'll see what happens tonight.
