...says U2swisshome.com .

U2valencia reports full band plus Corbijn are in Dublin ("mucha actividad" in studio). Bono met the fans and said the tour starts with two dates in Barcelona. Tomorrow they leave for LA.

I assume the acitivity they are referencing will be rehersals? and hmmmm could this mean something different being played at the grammys :hmm:

I'm guessing they'll (the next single) be released somewhere in late March, April?

The video was meant to be out last week and the physical...I don't think the majority of the world cares about that

Sorry but that really makes no sense....how can you speak for the majority of the world?, the single isnt even out in the UK or Irleand yet so wouldnt it be better to wait and see what it does when it actually comes out?

The single has been released on itunes in the majority of the world, and itunes is where the majority of singles are sold lately

I know it's not out in the UK and Ireland, but that is because U2's management decided to release it a month later there than the rest of the world, as in they screwed up. Either way the physical single isn't really important in this day and age, and the release date for the second single will pretty much be the day it's sent to radio as people will be able to download it straight away. I honestly can't imagine a large gap between the first and second singles

How do you know they "screwed up"? i really dont think its any coincidence that they are playing the brit awards a couple of days after release, and that they are playing the grammys while its actually avialible over in the US,

People are quick to say they have screwed up, but maybe just maybe they know what there doing, after all they have been doing it for a hell of a long time.

Here comes KUEFC, U2's knight in shining armour, leaping to their defence again! May his sword slice down every faintly negative insinuation towards the band! Hurrah Sir KUEFC!

They released the song straight away in the US, meaning anyone who wanted it could buy it right away

In the UK if you wanted it you had to illegally download it. Meaning they've lost sales, seriously if you are given an MP3 of the song why would you bother downloading it again off itunes a month later? Delaying the release for a month is obviously an attempt to get a number 1 by having the physical and digital release in the same week but that is at the expense of lost sales because a large number of people have already downloaded the track illegally

But lets be honest.....who apart from the people on this website and other fan sites know about it being out in the US?,

But it's not just out in the US, it's out in Canada, most of Europe, Australia, New Zealand

It's basically out in the majority of the world excluding the UK and Ireland, if you hear it on the radio here and want it, it is easy to get online for free.

Anyway we're getting off topic here...

Tour starts in Barcelona awesome

Barcelona tour start sounds fantastic.

I just hope they come to Oz though.

They should have done Magnificent then Crazy Tonight, IMO. I'm not sure a popish song would be as good for the album as an anthem, at this point.

here's what will happen. U2 will fluff around with boots for a bit and then rush the next single release within a couple of weeks of the album. Boots is not the big bang they were lookng for so the next single will be something mch more accessble like CT.

This is the same formula as Viva La Vida. Start with Violet Hill which slghtly underwhelmed the masses, and then rush release Viva La Vida, and each it burn up the charts.
