GA - How "packed" is the field?

Hi -

Looking to get tix for Qualcomm in san Diego. Prefer to try for seats on the side but heck $250+ per ticket???

So I am looking at GA tix. I don't want to be up front in the crowd and don't want to arrive 3 hours early. Happy to be towards the back and chill and take it in.

My question is, how packed has the GA field seats been? Is it completely full or is like the last 1/3rd of the field generally uncrowded?

You should be fine with GA Tix. The wife and I did both nights GA at the Rose Bowl. The 2nd night we hung back just on the left side of the mixing desk (command center) and it was perfect - lots of space around. I would say from the front of the mixing desk onwards to the stage it is crowded but after that not so bad.

Thanks Desert Dog - how far back is the mixing desk?

Maybe mid field and the stage covers at least the end zone if not more.
