With 16 votes, twice as many as NASOTR and Where Did It All Go Wrong, I'm gonna close the poll early and kill off Holy Joe, hopefully getting us closer to back on track, apologies again.

VOTE FOR YOUR LEAST FAVORITE SONG

Polls will remain open for 24 hours for the non-album track rounds.

Songs in this round:

- Alex Descends Into Hell For A Bottle Of Milk/Korova 1
- Lady With The Spinning Head
- Salome
- Where Did It All Go Wrong?
- Slow Dancing
- Holy Joe
- North And South Of The River
- Two Shots Of Happy, One Shot Of Sad

Criteria for song selection (at least for the albums): anything on the regular pressings of the Best Of 1980-1990, Best Of 1990-2000, and U2:18 is excluded.

Where Did It All Go Wrong? Last round, when it wasn't voted off.

Thanks, I'll be here all week.

I'll hold my vote to see if i can save Where Did It All Go Wrong?

Yeah, I'm going to wait and see what's the best bet to protect WDIAGW and NASOTR, two of the four best songs here (the other two being Alex Descends and LWTSH, and I have a really hard time deciding which of the four I want to win this thing).

this...is probably a terribly stupid question, but,

does Alex's title have anything to do with A Clockwork Orange?

:reject:

Yes, it was written for a stage production of that.

Yes, Bono and Edge wrote it for a play based on the novel.

It's also the second best song here, and it's not even close. Anyone who votes for that song has probably never heard it.

Voted Two Shots again and again and again.
I don`t hate the song but it`s certainly one of the weakest left.

Cheers ,

Mauwer

p.s. I don`t get all the WDIAGW voting , that song is just:drool:

I can't stand Where Did It All Go Wrong? Really fucking annoying song, to me. I heard a lot of good things about it, but couldn't stand it.

Alex decends into hell for a sixpack of beer:wink: is just:drool:
I wish Bono & Edge would someday release all the recorded stuff they made for the play.
There`s gotta be more than just one song:(

Cheers ,

Mauwer

you don't like the "doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-dee-doo-doo" part?

Alex again for me... When it comes to U2; Songs with words (even bad ones) > Instrumentals

It take it you missed this part of Alex Descends?

Dies irae, dies illa
Dies irae, dies illa
Tuba mirum spagrens sonum
Descendit in inferno

Dies irae
Dies irae

I must have... imo though, if someone other than Bono/Edge/Adam or Larry is singing it is not really U2... That's how I survived One by MJB

Slow Dancing again

shame Bottoms went so soon, love that Zoo Station remix - quite a different take on such a great song!

It won't do anything to the results, but I'm voting Salome here.

Also, after a bit of contemplation I'm thinking Slow Dancing should win this group.

Hoping for North and south to win (Two shots of happy... would be ok too), but probably something from AB will.

Lady With The Spinning Head not winning would be an outrage.
