Help me decide what to put on the burned CDs (MikeP-did you get my email?)
I was thinking:
__________________1. Walk to the water 2. Spanish eyes 3. Luminous times 4. Sweetest thing 87' version 5. (Deep in the heart?) 6. Everlasting love 7. Unchained melody 8. (Halleluiah here she comes?) 9. (A room at the heartbreak hotel?) 10. Lady with the spinning head 11. (Fortunate son?) 12. (Lady with the spinning head?) 13. (Alex descends into hell for a bottle of Vodka Korova?) 14. (Salome?) 15. (Where did it all go wrong?) 16. Night & day 17. Who's gonna ride your wild horses (Temple bar version-the piano and acoustics as featured in the video) 18. So cruel from Zoocoustic 19. (Dreaming with tears in my eyes?) 20. She's a mystery to me (U2 version) 21. (if needed for filling up space on CD) New day (Bono and Wyclef Jean) 22. I've got you under my skin (Bono and Frank Sinatra) But the problem is, from all these songs, i know numbers 6,7, bits of 16, obviously 17 and 18 (the album versions anyway), 20 (Roy Orbison's version), 21 and 22. But i'm lost when it comes to other songs-especially the ones i wrote in brackets and question marks. Are those any good? Or should i skip those and go with the rest-which still makes 13 songs? (i take it the JT B-sides and Lady with the spinning head are really good, since everyone is praising them). ------------------ "That's why i still love playing live in a rock'n'roll band. There's just this feeling of this thing could just about do anything..." - Edge "Something inside said this could be everything in your life." - Bono "U2 as a band does things no one else can do. I think that is a very powerful thing." - Larry "Adam believed in the band before anyone did." - Bono [This message has been edited by U2girl (edited 10-25-2001).] |

You need Holy Joe on there, assuming you haven't got it already.

well get the holy joe remix then!
![]() seems like you prefer the 80s style U2. If you like the music to the fly and ultraviolet, then get lady with the spinning head (dance remix) version. if you like zoo station, get salome. |

Hello U2Girl,
Of course, you never have to skip songs, even if they are U2 B-sides (or better: especially if they are U2 B-sides). But if you do have too little space on the CD, then I think that Fortunate Son and Deep In The Heart are less essential (as is New Day, but that one already is on the extra list). The others are very good and well worth having. C ya! Marty P.S. Future suggestions: Boomerang II (Pride B-side) Silver and Gold (both the Streets B-side as the Sun City (Bono) version) Satellite Of Love (One B-side) Slow Dancing (both the Zooropa demo as the Pop duet with Willie Nelson) North And South Of The River Two Shots Of Happy, One Shot Of Sad I'm Not Your Baby (off The End Of Violence Soundtrack) ------------------ People criticize me but I know it's not the end I try to kick the truth, not just to make friends Spearhead - People In Tha Middle [This message has been edited by Popmartijn (edited 10-25-2001).] |

Make sure you get North and SOuth of the River (Live version from the Omagh Tribute)....
And it's Alex descends into hell for a bottle of milk/Korova 1 (awesome song) I've always been partial to Two shots of happy, one shot of sad... We Love You If you don't have Summer Rain, Always, Your Blue Room, The Ground Beneath Her Feet... [This message has been edited by The_Sweetest_Thing (edited 10-25-2001).] |
