I've probably mis-read somewhere, but didn't the Joshua Tree have a working title like 'Desert Songs' or 'Songs of the Desert' or something similar?

How to Dismantle was originally goign to be called How To Dismantle An Atomic Bob, for Bob Hewson.
That's not true, the original title was "How to build an atomic bomb", Edge and Bono read it somewhere in a magazine and thought it was cool for an album title.

"Man" has to be the cheesiest name I've ever heard for an album.

Seeing all the alternate titles listed on this board, I realize that the current album titles are pretty good.

I do like Solar alot though.
