A few weeks ago in this forum I wrote about one of my friends hating Bono and U2 and how this offends me b/c I am an avid U2 fan.
Well this past weekend I encountered a more enjoyable story that I wanted to share:
Friday evening, Happy Hour, Wantagh, NY......I'm schmoozing w/a girl (friend of a friend) and she begins to tell me how she used to hate U2 and would always change the radio when SBS came on......until: Her ex-boyfriend took her to see U2 during the Elevation Tour and she was blown away by them!!! Next thing you know she bought some albums and was raving about them!!!
It felt as if these 2 anecdotes--the first one is posted as "you know you're an avid U2 fan when....."---came full circle. Some people choose to ignore U2 altogther. Others see them live and truly understand and feel the emotion that is not just a great rock band, but a world-wide phenomenon!!!
