NO clue about jumping...I never got past any singles and I couldn't stay oriented during those (although I had a decent waltz jump-loop-toe loop when I "retired" from freestyle at 18), but as for spinning, you just kinda get used to it.

I only recently discovered I can spin better on my dance blades than I ever could with freestyle blades. :huh:

Some Ice Diaries comments:

*My new dress was NOT $1200

*Breaking in new skating boots is the worst thing ever. :blisters:

*I will probably need new ones next year and they will *only* be about $700...or around $550 if I don't need new blades.

My eyes bugged out a little when they mentioned the cost of the skates $1300 :eek:

Custom boots are EXPENSIVE. :eek: Mine are only semi-custom.

I'm on my break right now...have to work til 7 am :(

And then I have to be back to work the 4 pm to 4 am shift...but I actually am looking forward to being finished at 4 am. I am just not looking forward to the getting up early part :huh:
