Prayers needed, please

I found out today that my aunt was informed by her doctor that she has a low platelet count. This is a symptom of leukemia. I've already lost my father to this disease, and I can hardly bear to think of losing someone else to it. My aunt has an appointment with Florida Cancer Specialists on April 14th. Needless to say we are all very worried. I would appreciate any spare prayers you could send our way. Thanks.

Can you give me some more specifics? She is taking meds for blood pressure, so maybe that could be causing it?

In my family one person [an aunt] died, but my dad, and another aunt are a bunch of years cancer survivers so stay strong there IS hope. again.

LOTS of things can cause a low platelet count - most commonly, lab error - if the blood sample gets a few small blood clots formed in it, it can dramatically lower the count. Don't panic yet - saying a prayer that everything will be ok

An update...my aunt her appointment today with the Cancer Specialists. They told her it wasn't cancer, thank God. They said it was something to do with the meds she is taking for her thyroid, and they are focusing on her spleen. But this is good news, because it's something they can treat, and she can feel better again.
