Vegas: showtimes?

Showtime is listed as 8 p.m. for Vegas.

What time should U2 hit the stage?

Thanks!

If its the same as NY (which also had an 8PM start time) they won't hit the stage until about 9:20-9:30PM.

Man, don't say that, I really need to control myself on this trip (after all the money I've spent so far on this tour) and I'm kind of a compulsive gambler.

Yeah, I know. The last thing I need to do on this trip is loose money by gambling .

But at least I'm not trapped on a boat like when I take the seniors on the casino cruises, where there's nothing to do but play slots . . .

they have penny slot machines now at most hotels. It gives you the "thrill" of gambling without really losing anything, or getting anywhere. Roulette at least its almost 50/50 if you bet red or black, except for those pesky green 0's.

That sounds about right. I was told that there is an opening act that goes on about 6:30pm.

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS SHOW!!!!!!

No, I think the opening act goes on around 8ish, plays until 8:30ish, then U2 takes the stage around 9:15 or 9:30. Can someone clarify this for me? I have GA tix and my plan is to move up toward the rail right before the opening band starts, which I am assuming is aroun 8ish (thus, I am planning to get to the arena around 7ish).

The spots on the rail are usually the first to get taken, so you may want to plan on lining up early so that you can grab one when they open the doors and let people go through the Floor scanning routine. If you wait until showtime, those "rail locations" may be gone. People usually bunch up around the tip, and when those spots are gone, they head for the rail. You probably need to be among the first 100 or so in the building if you want such a spot.
