was going through some old posts on usenet and found the following to be interesting in relation to what's going on today:

@U2 staff writer Sherry Colombaro reports the following set list and info.
from Thursday's rehearsals, which wrapped up about 30 minutes ago:

Notes:

* about 100-150 fans at the arena tonight

* Bono's voice sounded much better tonight than last night, he was hitting
notes he couldn't reach last night

* "a really, really funky version of The Fly that will knock your socks off"

* from peaking through a door on the side of the Arena, she could see a line
of video screens running along both sides of the arena, hanging from
scaffolding overhead; she thought it's possible that people in the absolute
uppermost rows of the Arena might have an obstructed view because of the
screens

* she also got a glimpse of the same gauze-like fabric the band used during
the MTV Europe Music Awards in November, and there seemed to be some video
images projected onto the fabric

* still no update or even rumors on how fans will be allowed "into the
heart", aside from yesterday's comment from Jerry Meltzer that wristbands
will be distributed earlier in the day

* although tonight was supposed to be the last rehearsal at the Miami Arena,
the band is considering doing one more rehearsal tomorrow night because they
don't seem to be quite satisfied with some aspects of the show

I never liked Elevation - Beautiful Day...

when I first saw ELEVATION opening the set list I thought "oh no"... then I heard it with thh Elevation remix and I

but BD after that.. i never liked that... It should have started the Encore.. the 2nd one... or evnen started the show. All you got to do is listen to the Notre Dame bootleg and you'll understand

I have camcorder video of one of the 2001 rehearsals. What's oddd is that it was shot from outside the arena, through one fo the balcony passage ways with direct view of one of the jumbotrons. The U2 security left some windows open so the sound could filter out.

It's was only the first 3 songs done twice.
