uk albums chart:htdaab #40(#34)

As I posted elsewhere I was expecting such a drop, and to drop further until the tour unless there is an advertising campaign in the interim.

or a REALLY successful single...i mean a single that's constantly in the airplay top 10 like GD's "boulevard..."

HTDAAB should get a significant rise in the UK album chart, and also the charts across the world when COBL is released as a single.

considering ATYCLB was WELL out of the top 60 by this same time, shows how much of a succsess this album has been

Considering the tour is still a few months off and there is no hit single due to the drawn out release of Sometimes, the album is doing about what you'd expect. It will come back across Europe with a bullet this summer, or if U2 would release COBL/MD.

I no longer think Sometimes will be a long-time hit here in the U.S., as it seems suited for certain radio formats only. I hope I'm wrong, but if I'm right, bring on the next WORLDWIDE single! Due to the "anniversary" tag, maybe it has to wait until May 23 or whatever. Too long!

Vox

U2 - How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
Island - 7.224.000 copies
This is the refresh of the world chart (mediatraffic.de).

World chart album:16
World chart singles : Sometimes at 9.

Who knows exacly the number of copies sold in the world in the last three weeks? Thanks

Great news...!!!!

I thought that Sometimes wouldn't make it at 9, that's surprising.

Imagine how high 'sometimes' would have made it if it had been doin this well in the US, the same time as it peaked in Europe.

Its great that mediatraffic finally updated their figures. My estimate for this week was that the album would be at 7,350,000. But I'm 126,000 copies off as the total number with this weeks sales is 7,224,000. I've been estimating sales being at 100,000 the past few weeks thinking that was a conservative estimate. But it appears that the average per week for the last several weeks has been about 75,000. If the current rate of sales is maintained, BOMB will pass the 8 million mark at mediatraffic in about 10 weeks.

Green Day's new album could potentially pass "Atomic Bomb" in sales worldwide after 3 more weeks if both albums maintain the sales levels from this week.
