u2 is so much more stronger in canada than the US... it went 3x platinum in Canada, which means 300,000+ sales, which means 1 in every 100 people bought the album vs 1 in 357 in the US

No its not 3 times platnum in the first week sales in Canada. They were 94,700 which is about 5000 short of being platnum but that is also about 25 thousand more then U2 sold here last time with ATYCLB in the first week.

Per capita Canada does indeed beat the US and pretty much anyplace else but please get the statisics right if you are going to be quoting them

They are way off. Nothing sells that fast.

It was the best debut for an album in Canada in the last 2 years and the 3rd best debut in the US this year.

ATYCLB is certified at 4X platnum in the US now and 5X in Canada and I fully expect the bomb to surpase that.

I believe it was certified 3x platinum in Canada b/c that was how many albums were shipped, but 95,000 of those 300,000 were sold during the first week.
