even NJ loves NY
those days
it?s one of those days that you never forget
the numbers always ringing in your head
burning fiery holes in the absence
of drinkling drops, silvered beads

holding you here in my arms, darling
shhh, sleep now, sink now
go where I can?t follow
baby, baby, close your eyes, your pretty eyes
one blue, one gold
a sky for me to fly, a sun to light my way
I will forever stay

Jupiter?s eerie rainbows drug your soul
the slow secret slip of a pinprick
they tried not to let me see
I tried to pretend like children do
hugging you all the way home

the waning sky lit up like a June-bug?s fireworks
cascading in triumphant symphony
perfect time to close the door, walk away
a tiny limp form upon my lap
I wanted to wake you with my Midas touch

but I should have looked up instead
into the glory of your return

i havent been here in forever and its not making me happy

wb!

I love the contrast in this peice, really evocative and flows really smoothly from lust to love to regret !

Jupiter?s eerie rainbows drug your soul
the slow secret slip of a pinprick
they tried not to let me see
I tried to pretend like children do
hugging you all the way home

this line caught my eye especially

thanks Acro
actually this was really just rambling, which I've been doing a lot lately instead of really writing

it's funny, I wrote it about something totally different..it's really a childhood memory..but it's interesting that you saw that in it
I love it when that happens

like that bit a lot...

Jupiter?s eerie rainbows drug your soul
the slow secret slip of a pinprick

I love the imagery in this, and then that lethal 2nd line... oh and that 'June-bug' made me thing of the Pumpkins' "1979" but nevermind that, just something random I thought I'd mention

what moonsongs,
do you sing your babies?
what sunshine do you bring?

who belongs
who decides who's crazy
who rights wrongs where others cling?

Sweetie,
There are few poems that have moved me to tears. This is one of them.

Wanderer, you're driving me insane with all your Corgan quoting!! I've been begging my friends for her CDs so i can burn 'em but she lent them to her boyfriend and to make a long story short, guys are even more forgetful than girls
