Somebody has died...

He wasn't a family member. He wasn't even a friend of mine...he was the son of a longtime friend of my mother's. Lived in NYC. Was only 16. I never met him but he was a messed up kid. He had serious problems...drugs/not coming home at night/not going to school/gangs/etc. No need for details. It was a car wreck with his friends. Apparently he was burned beyond recognition. I know no more than that(not that I'd go into detail here if I did). My mother has left town in a hurry to be with her friend&his family&members of our family that live there. So ******* sad I can't even believe it.
