I'm going to say this, but don't take it as "ageist" or insensitive.

You are quite young, and the chance of Rachel being "the one" is there, but I wouldn't hedge my bets against it, solely due to life experience. If you two are growing in two different directions...well, frankly, I would expect it, because you are growing up. And when you turn 20 or 21, I expect things to change even more. Heck, I'm 23, and I barely recognize who I was when I was 21.

The question you're going to have to ask yourself is whether you see yourself growing together, maturity-wise. You may find that, yes, you did have the same interests, etc. one year ago; but you may find that those interests are diverging, and you may find it diverging more.

Overall, I'm not telling you to break up with her or to stay with her; just to keep things in perspective. I'm sure you'll do just fine regardless.
