What effects does Edge really use doing Desire for the Zoo tv tour??

While I am not sure, to me is sounds like some flanger. Could be a setting in the Korg A3.

Charles (The Joshua Tree) or Mick (The Unforgettable Fire) tributes might know the answer to this?

Perhaps that will chime in on this one.
