While the gold and red Reversos are great. The gold and lilac sparkle finish Precisions look and sound superb. The gold Warwick Star Bass is a fantastic instrument. But I do miss the Gibson RD Artist bass.

The first I knew of Adam with this bass, was during the recording of Achtung Baby.

It wasn't until NLOTH era promo shows did I ever see Adam bring the guitar out for performances. Thus far "Magnificent", being the one song that I've seen him use the RD Artist to perform.

That said, it is still a great sounding and stunning looking bass. I understand the red Reverso is that much more visually stunning but he does use it on other tracks. I would love it if Adam went back to the RD Artist for "Magnificent"

Thats a great looking guitar!
Is that a pic of them working on one?

It is quite cool looking! What the RD Arist used for "One"? He may have tried it in the writing process but per the interviews that I've read, "One" was recorded with the Gibson Triumph Les Paul Recording Bass.

That is another that Adam has had for ages, used in the studio but had not taken out on tour until the 360 tours. Adam has been using the Triumph for "One" during the 360 tour.

If memory serves, Adam told me that "A Man And A Woman" from 'How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb' was also recorded with the Gibson Triumph.

god damm E_O YOU MET ADAM????? lucky! I would love to talk to adam or edge about all the guitars and such!

I have been lucky enough to meet Adam, Edge, Larry, Bono, Dallas, Stu (Adam's tech) and Sam (Larry's tech) a few times over the years.

The chat with Adam, in regards to "A Man And A Woman" and the Gibson Triumph bass was during the 'Vertigo' tour rehearsals. I'd mentioned that had a cool, slinky feeling bass line. Adam said that it was his favorite bassline on 'How To Dismantle...". I'd asked about the bass and the Triumph came up. I asked if they were going to play "A Man and A Woman" on the (then up-coming) tour, and Adam said: "No, I don't think so. Not this time".

wow i have no idea how u do it! :)

It's like the old real estate adage. Location. Location. Location.

I lived in San Diego in the 1980's and in Los Angeles, since 1989. U2 play in multiple cities in CA, and I have had the ability to travel to AZ, NV, OR, WA, and CO for shows. (At times even futher).

It takes planning and saving a lot of money but it does open up opportunities to speak with band and crew.
