Looks to me more like a plain piece of black cloth that's had an image ironed on. The image doesn't look old enough to actually be from the 80s---it's not cracked or wrinkled at all. Rather, it's the picture itself that's from the 80s. My gut says that if the seller claims not to know anything about where it came from, etc., then it's probably something he made.
