More 5G Than Man
One of the few newer bands I haven't dug into. I've never heard a song by these guys and want to start right now.
So, what album do I get first?

If you shout... said:If anybody says anything other than Summerteeth, then he/she either doesn't know the band well enough to answer or, more likely, he/she simply didn't understand what you were asking for.
If you want a place to start, start here. It is everything the band has become and everything the band ever was all at the same time. It is the Pet Sounds of my generation. Thank whatever/whomever you believe in for Jay Bennett, kids. Seriously. There isn't a single weak song. It's quite the album, and if you don't like it then you probably don't need to bother with the band.

If you do, then follow it up with their best ALBUM--Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Follow that up with A Ghost Is Born before making your way to Being There and then the vastly inferior A.M.. Then get the bad taste out of your mouth with Kicking Television and you'll be good to G-O. Holla.

Altering other member's quotes is unacceptable.

Is Kicking Television as good as many say it is?

I'm really tempted to buy this being a fan of guthrie, but I've never heard anyone mention the album
