now it's up to some smart brit to explain the celebration of St. George, and another "quick" Scotsman/woman to proceed with the way that St. Andrew is honored...please forgive if these saints don't have their days...emm, do they?
my 64,000 question...what makes a saint a saint of a country, rather than a saint of some personal or general subject...
hmmm wouldn't say I was smart (I couldn't remember when st george's day was and had to look it up ) but I am English and I'll explain a bit.
St George's Day here in England is on April 23rd, but it's not really celebrated properly. english people seem to prefer st patrick's day cos it's an excuse to get drunk. I know I'd go out an celebrate it, but it's difficult when there's nobody celebrating with you!
