What have you learned from this tragedy? And I'm not looking for some political type answers, but things that deal with the heart.
I've come to understand 2 things; one which I had no idea of, and another which I knew in my head, but this situation has really showed it in action.
1)My faith in mankind has been restored a bit. Before this incident, I really thought that most people only cared about themselves. However, this incident has shown me an abundance of people who, when times get tough, drop all their differences (political, religious, emotional, etc) to help out a neighbor, and to care about and love others. Not just here in the USA, either. The photos and images from around teh world, showing others in mourning for US really touched my heart.
2)The thing I did know, but now I have really seen it is the Biblical concept that "what Satan has intended for evil, God has intended for good", and "all things work out for the good for those who love The Lord". Those may not be exact quotes, but very close. Anyway, the point is this. God did not cause these evil things to happen, but once they've happened, he has turned them around and brought good out of them. People are reaching out in love to each other. The nation (and the world) is uniting. People are turning to God.
Folks, God is good!
