What are your 5 best voices

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
1. Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) Hands down, the greatest rock vocalist ever. His vocal range is just ridiculous.

2. Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses) I never cared much for the rest of this band, but Axl's voice, back in its hey-day, was as close as I think we'll ever come to seeing another Robert Plant.

3. Bono (U2) Easily my favorite singer, personally. He has amazing range, too (especially during the 1984-1992 period) and can cover all the bases, from whispery, lullaby ballads, to full-throated screamers.

4. Elvis Presley - The voice of God, assuming the voice of God isn't Johnny Cash's.

5. Wilson Pickett -- The man didn't really sing so much as he howled. So, so, so talented.

Honorable mentions: Janis Joplin, John Lennon, Mick Jagger.

:D

I've had a big crush on his voice before I was aged enough to notice his sex appeal (actually, I didn't think he had any for many years).
I've been listening to it for much too long and will always .

Not in any order,

Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Freddie Mercury, Bono, Neil Finn.

On second thought, I trade Neil Finn for Roy Orbison/Johnny Cash tie.

Honorable mentions Neil Finn, Eddie Vedder, Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon, Paul McCartney.

Also, from female singers: Chrissie Hynde, Annie Lennox, Sheryl Crow, Sinead O'Connor and lately I like Joss Stone's voice.

Honorable mention Alanis Morisette and Dolores O'Riordan.

I think I've done this before in another thread ages ago, and I'll probably put about the same answers, but...

Guy Garvey
Bono
Morrissey
Nick Drake
Neil Halstead or Richard Ashcroft

Most of mine aren't great singers (but I dare say most pop/rock singers aren't great singers), but they have voices I adore and don't tire of hearing.

1) Steve Kilbey -- (lovely speaking voice too, which is a good thing, since he tends to sing-speak more than sing, but I really like it. :D )

2) Ollie Browne (Art of Fighting)

3) Ian McCulloch (Echo and the Bunnymen, and also solo)

4) Cinjin Tate (Remy Zero)

5) Jasmine Yee (Halogen)

Honourable Mention -- Donette Thayer, Stephen Cummings (listening to him right now :) )
