wow - almost 50% of republicans actually voted yes to expel George Santos.

he's gone.

Pathetic that any Republicans voted against expelling Santos, but what's new.

Oh well, he's delivering presents from the North Pole in his sleigh soon. Then the Super Bowl that he's playing in, then there's the Academy Awards and he's hosting and will definitely be nominated. So he needs the time off.

Retired Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, the first woman on the Supreme Court, has died at age 93

WASHINGTON (AP) — Retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, an unwavering voice of moderate conservatism and the first woman to serve on the nation’s highest court, died Friday. She was 93.

O’Connor died in Phoenix, of complications related to advanced dementia and a respiratory illness, the Supreme Court said in a news release.

Chief Justice John Roberts mourned her death. “A daughter of the American Southwest, Sandra Day O’Connor blazed an historic trail as our Nation’s first female Justice," Roberts said in statement issued by the court. “She met that challenge with undaunted determination, indisputable ability, and engaging candor.”

Everyone realizes that Santos will be on Dancing with the Stars, get a major book deal and probably host a game show about lying on NBC.... he's going to come out with MILLIONS.

He’ll spend some time behind bars, but i agree he will cash in when he gets out

Very thankful that Speaker Johnson released more Jan 6th Footage a couple weeks ago. It has led to more arrests of folks that were previously unidentified.

Except now he is saying he will blur the images of those so the mean old DOJ doesn't prosecute haha

Isn't that obstruction??

Jack is going all in with his push to the SCOTUS and Presidential Immunity. I think it's a smart move on his part seeing how Trump is delaying, delaying, delaying with the ultimate goal of getting this appeal to the court.

Jack is like, let's just cut to the chase now.

The Jan 6th case is the only one that has a chance of going to trial and a verdict before November 2024

GQP has been trying to prop her up, but she's still down like 30% in every single primary.

They will all circle back around the Orange dictator.

They're screwed either way. Let's say Haley does pick up a few wins, maybe even take over the lead if Trump actually faces some justice....

He will absolutely destroy her and the GQP. He hasn't showed much grace in losing.....

she seems politically talented and nimble, and he's increasingly deranged and is going to be in a court room a lot next year. maybe she can pull this off?

i have to say i am hoping she will. i would rather a Haley presidency than never having another election again.

I just don't see it. I would gladly take our chances as a nation and world with her. Yes progress will be stalled, but there would be a chance to resume again.

She's pretty aggressive with the abortion stuff which has been killer for her party. Dems really need to hammer the fact that what's happening in Texas is going to be the reality for all if any republican takes over

remember the 2010 meltdown over "death panels" ie, Obamacare?

yeah. meet the Texas SC.

Happy Birthday Taylor Psyop!

https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/columnist/2023/12/07/taylor-swift-time-person-of-the-year-trump-maga/71840257007/

Taylor Swift vs. MAGA? Trump toadies get mad and dumb over Time's new Person of the Year.
The theory – and you have to be fluent in stupid to understand this – is that Swift's fame is part of a left-wing plan to activate her fan base and carry Democrats to victory in the 2024 election.

It appears Taylor Swift being named Time’s Person of the Year has upset the he-men, deep thinkers and cognoscenti in Donald Trump’s never-not-weird MAGA-verse.

The belief, it seems, is that the pop icon is not just a wildly successful artist who has built a business empire and is living her best life. No, in MAGA-land, such a thing is as impossible as female agency or President Joe Biden actually being president.

The theory – and you have to be fluent in stupid to understand this – is that Swift’s fame and power are part of a left-wing plan to activate her fan base and carry Democrats to victory in the 2024 presidential election. Swift is more a pawn of the mythical Deep State than, you know, a woman who has achieved remarkable success through hard work, talent and intelligence.

Taylor Swift 'psyop' is now apparently a thing among Trump fans

Trump fan-boy and alt-right conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec shared a photo of the Time magazine's Person of the Year cover on social media and wrote: “The Taylor Swift girlboss psyop has been fully activated. From her hand-selected vaccine shill boyfriend to her DINK lifestyle to her upcoming 2024 voter operation for Democrats on abortion rights. It’s all coming.”

Poor guy, Happy Holidays Rudy!

A federal jury ordered Rudy Giuliani on Friday to pay $148 million to two election workers who sued him for defamation, asserting that the former attorney for Donald Trump exposed them to a life-altering torrent of abuse and trauma by promoting false claims that they stole the 2020 election from the former president in Georgia.

Not sure why it’s breaking news as i seem to recall it being a thing a few years ago

But missing Russian intelligence documents during the final days of Trump administration

Belief is Mark Meadows took it…maybe burnt it??

I really wish the classified docs case was being tried in DC, or anywhere besides FL.

His other cases are important too, but the stealing and sharing of our nations secrets has to be tops to me.

Doubtful we get a decent trial with Cannon on the bench.

My assumption as to why Jack has been pretty laid back with her nickel and diming the DOJ, is he’s focusing on the DC case as it’s the only chance of a verdict before November 24

an early festivus miracle! ?

Poisoning the blood, he's a sick dangerous individual

DURHAM, New Hampshire, Dec 16 (Reuters) - Donald Trump, the Republican presidential frontrunner, said on Saturday that undocumented immigrants were "poisoning the blood of our country," repeating language that has previously drawn criticism as xenophobic and echoing of Nazi rhetoric.

Trump made the comments during a campaign event in New Hampshire where he railed against the record number of migrants attempting to cross the U.S. border illegally. Trump has promised to crack down on illegal immigration and restrict legal immigration if elected to a second four-year term in office.

"They're poisoning the blood of our country," Trump told a rally in the city of Durham attended by several thousand supporters, adding that immigrants were coming to the U.S. from Asia and Africa in addition to South America. "All over the world they are pouring into our country."

Trump used the same "poisoning the blood" language during an interview with The National Pulse, a right-leaning website, that was published in late September. It prompted a rebuke from the Anti-Defamation League, whose leader, Jonathan Greenblatt, called the language "racist, xenophobic and despicable"

Jason Stanley, a Yale professor and author of a book on fascism, said Trump's repeated use of that language was dangerous. He said Trump's words echoed the rhetoric of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, who warned against German blood being poisoned by Jews in his political treatise "Mein Kampf".

"He is now employing this vocabulary in repetition in rallies. Repeating dangerous speech increases its normalization and the practices it recommends," Stanley said. "This is very concerning talk for the safety of immigrants in the U.S."

In October Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung had dismissed criticism of the former president's language as "nonsensical," arguing that similar language was prevalent in books, news articles and on TV. (HUH?)

When asked for comment on Saturday, Cheung did not directly address Trump's remarks and instead referred to the controversies over how U.S. colleges are handling campus protests since Hamas' Oct. 7 attack on Israel, saying media and academia had given "safe haven for dangerous anti-Semitic and pro-Hamas rhetoric that is both dangerous and alarming."

The "poisoning the blood of our country" language was not in Trump's prepared remarks distributed to media prior to Saturday's event, and it was not clear whether his use of that rhetoric was planned or adopted on the fly.

But missing Russian intelligence documents during the final days of Trump administration

you must be mistaken. we've been told that this is a hoax and nothing at all happened between Russia and the Trump campaign and believing something did is the real scandal.

Well how about that, poor guy

DENVER (AP) — A divided Colorado Supreme Court on Tuesday declared former President Donald Trump ineligible for the White House under the U.S. Constitution’s insurrection clause and removed him from the state’s presidential primary ballot, setting up a likely showdown in the nation’s highest court to decide whether the front-runner for the GOP nomination can remain in the race.

The decision from a court whose justices were all appointed by Democratic governors marks the first time in history that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment has been used to disqualify a presidential candidate.

It kind of puts the SC in a bit of a pickle. I don't think there's anything wrong or incorrect about the CO SC decision, so it's up to the SC to basically say, yeah the constitution isn't really the thing we base our judgements on anymore....

He should be banned from every single ballot for what he has done.

Also shows the hypocrisy of GOP

Let the voters decide!!!

Oh, the voters chose someone else??? Flood the courts with bullshit lawsuits and cases as well as lead a coup against the government!!

The courts keep ruling against us??? Well we don't agree with States Rights!!!!

Well I for one am shocked, call it Eau De Moron

Smelly Donald Trump reporting for duty?

According to CNN Senior Political Commentator and former GOP congressman Adam Kinzinger, the former president, 77, is tough to be around not only because of his crazy remarks — but also because of his stench.

"I’m genuinely surprised how people close to Trump haven’t talked about the odor," Kinzinger wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on December 16. "It’s truly something to behold. Wear a mask if you can."
