It has now been 15 months since the Elevation tour finished up in Miami and the next tour has yet to appear on the horizon. The good news is, we?ve found a U2 fix to help ward off the symptoms of withdrawal.
Based out of The Netherlands, Jochem created his site, Electrical Storms, ?as a sort of dedication to U2.? Electrical Storms is host to a plethora of live recordings, which can be downloaded upon registering in their forum. Jochem spends close to four hours a week updating the site and uploading new audio files. He says he became interested in U2 in the late 80?s although he?d been a fan of a few of their songs (?Sunday Bloody Sunday? and ?I Will Follow? to name a few) much earlier. It was the release of The Joshua Tree that sparked Jochem?s interest in the band and upon seeing the band live in Rotterdam, Jochem was catapulted to what he describes as ?die-hard? fan status.
?It's a great to have U2 as a favorite band,? Jochem says, adding, ?more than 20 years of rock?many great songs?and they do the best shows ever!? And now, thanks to this Dutch webmaster, some of the ?best shows ever? can be downloaded in their entirety faster than you can say ?Achtung Baby?.
