When Crazy Tonight was nominated for best rock song, it wasn't listed as U2, but rather Bono, The Edge, Larry Mullen, Adam Clayton. This is the first time this has happened for a U2 nominated songwriter award. For all the previous ones (such as BD, SIAMYCGOO, SYCMIOYO, ISHFWILF, Elevation, Walk On) they were simply listed as U2.
Had Crazy Tonight won (it didn't in the end) it wouldn't have been added to U2's Grammy total.
U2 are only listed officially as having 46 nominations, but it really should be 47.
What was the logic behind this very odd decision?
