New Yorker
So after three concerts in three days in NYC, I highly recommend you see the following artists when they roll in to your city
David Bowie-- a friend got me a ticket to this show. One-time deal for Bowie fan club members. Great show! For an old guy he still knows how to rock. And the new album sounds amazing live. If you don't have tickets to the Area: Two tour this summer get some just to see him
The Hives-- I REALLY can't say enough about their performance. Absolutely incredible! A new, fun version of punk. The lead singer was all over the place reminding me kind of what Bono must have been like in the early '80s. Celebrity sightings there included Kelly Osbourne and a bunch of music journalist types. See Kurt Loder's review of the show [he was in the balcony right above me]. Its a little gushy but it tells you how great this band is.
