to Ax, Ali, or Charlotte: re Surfer Blood tickets, if i were to buy one, are there seats at the Corner Hotel? 'cos i'm actually back from the States in time for the concert, and it'd be cool to tag along wit you peeps. and the tickets are pretty cheap too.

and what's parking like? 'cos i'd most likely drive...

There's no seating as such, although there is a raised bit of floor right at the back of the room that people can sit on if they want, although they wouldn't be able to see anything over the rest of the crowd standing on the floor. It really is a standing-only sort of venue.

It would be great if you could join us though! There is ample (and free) parking at the nearby East Richmond railway station, I've never had trouble parking there (touch wood, fingers crossed, better not jinx it now!!). It's a couple of blocks walk but worth it I think.

BTW, the next time you come around the point of the mountain, we should hang out or something. I think it would be fun. My opinion anyways.

Sounds like a plan, Stan.

Apparently your name is now Stan.

Geez I'm bored...

He Feels The Ground Is Giving Away
But He Keeps Going Anyway
Up A Head, there's a bananna peel
Further Along, an Oil Leak
But He Kept On
Running Anyway

Then His Back Gave Away / Then His Back Gave Away
Then His Back Gave Away / Then His Back Gave Away
Then His Back Gave Away / Then His Back Gave Away

He Slipped On A Dead Bird
Watch Bono Hit The Earth
Watch Bono Hit The Earth

He's Lying down Waiting On A Saviour To Come
Axver's at the bus stop with the news
And He Sees Bono
Walks and hits bono with his cane
And says "This is for still playing one"

Then His Back Gave Away / Then His Back Gave Away
Then His Back Gave AWay / Then His Back Gave Away
Then His Back Gave AWay / Then His Back Gave Away

He Slipped On A Dead Bird
Then Axver Made It Worse
Watch Bono Hit The Earth

Slippin' AWay
Slide Side
Too Heavy
Slippin' Away
The World Turns
And Bono Stays Lying
Lying Down

He's Crawling, Crawling Into Town
He's Thinking the tours gonna go ahead somehow
he'll make it Salt Lake City In A Week
Float To Great Britan
To make Glastonbury

Then A Horse Came His Way / Then A Horse Came His Way?
Bono Get Outta The Way! / BONO GET OUTTA THE WAY!!!
Jesus Christ I Hope He's Okay! / STOP HIS ALREADY DEAD!! (/Ralf)

Geez, It looks like it hurts
And That's the last we ever heard
The Last We Ever Heard
Blast That Dead bird.

*followed by the sound of bono dying*

Hey folks.

Is Wezza Danny about? Got your text, but replying from New Zealand on international roaming costs about a billion cents. Anyway, tickets to Surfer Blood are $41 including fees, and the gig's standing only, like most are at the Corner.

Sigh arcade fire announce dates for five days after I leave Toronto :sigh:

Ow, bugger! :(

Good to see you back in the thread, btw.

So Muse are playing Rod Laver in Melbourne... I'd bet on at least one extra show for sure. I'm also thinking of doing seats... the price range will be apparently $100 - $121, so the difference isn't huge, and it sounds like it's going to be a Big Spectacular ... Spectacle. Plus if GA's full of Twilame fans.... *ew*

Someone on TV just mentioned something about sea grass... I think it was a gardening show.

Is it bad that the words "sea grass" jump out at me now? :reject:
