amateur, E minor is fine but it's boring sometime and very simple. C minor provides a challenge. i like D Minor too

There's a lot more you can do with Em...when I solo, I like to play low and open strings a lot too (think Neil Young), and Em is as low a pentatonic scale as you can go.

Plus, I loooooove harmonics, and in Em, there are 3 frets of 'em.
