War Child
why does everyone want to put u2 songs up against eachother, whats the fucking point? to downgrade the newer or older track? wow, talk about a good time.
vertigo vs elevation.......who gives a shit. how many threads do we need on this subject? apparently 8. its rediculous. they are two completely different songs in two completely different eras.
achtung baby versus joshua tree. oooh hot topic there but you know what? you cant compare the two, its like audi vs maytag.
in the end you dont get anywhere and all it does is set a threshold for u2 bashing (or constructive criticism whichever you happen to call it). just critique the damned song, if you dont like the particular effect egde threw down on vertigo, fine but dont dig up "thrill me" just to have something to put it up against. its lame.
moral: just take every new song and put it in the u2 arsenal of kick ass songs that theyve built to go back on and blow people away with when on tour. elevation was a good song, vertigo is a great song, there both really nice to have in a melting pot to look back on when your life's work is complete. im envious of u2s entire work and how theyve done it their way, theyve truly beaten this game called life and they did it with gods given talent.
just look at each new bit that u2 has to offer as another chapter in their incredible book. dont cxompare chapters with eachother, its stupid.
be lucky
