All billy lovers say I

I think you're supposed to say "aye"

Adore is a wonderful album (though maybe a bit too long) but I haven't really gotten into their other stuff besides a few individual songs.

I am just watching the Pumpkins DVD, great video for Geek USA, it's a live performance where they got all these sinister looking clowns (think Stephen King's "It") and they acted weird on stage, freaky as hell, anyway, the Pumpkins made some incredible videos

and yes, they were a better band than Radiohead, who at times become very claustrophobic, this never happens with the Pumpkins varying song-writing styles

Billy is pretty enough without the overkill.

I'd like to see that vid.I think Tonight, Tonight is my fave SP video.Although Bullet and Zero are pretty damn awesome too.

I have yet to buy that video collection, but I'm sure it's amazing. I think I'll get it with my next pay check. I'm looking forward to it. I do have Vieuphoria, though.

I think with Radiohead the claustrophobia is the whole point. I like the Pumpkins too, but best American band ever, not so sure. (Admittedly there ain't many to choose from)

I hardly like any American music. Most of my favourite music comes from England, oh yeah, and Ireland is good too

I don't know what it is about American music. A lot of it seems to be lacking in a sense of mystery and the English have a lot of that.

yes, I'm sure that might be the point of radiohead, but it gets to be a bit much after a while, but I might be wrong...

yes, greatest American band ever, and greatest Australian band ever too, for that matter

Australia's musical renaissance is just beginning. About 20 years too late, but better late than never. One day one of our great bands (as opposed to one of our crap bands) might actually get big in America.

Billy likes to rock, and his lyrics are far better

plus he is from Chicago ---> the city by the lake

Thom is only from Planet Telex

1. Their lyrics are about on a par, I'd say.

2. So what?

3. Eh?

Planet Telex, the home of Discotheques...

You can force it but it will not come
You can taste it but it will not form
You can crush it but it's always here
You can crush it but it's always near

yeah, let's go, higher... discotheque

You can force it but it will stay stung
You can crush it as dry as a bone
You can walk it home straight from school
You can kiss it, you can break all the rules
All of the rules
But still...

Everything is broken
Everyone is broken

yeah, let's go, higher... discotheque

That would be an insane, but fun, combo. I could just imagine it as a remix.

Oh you take what you can get
Cos it's all that you can find
I wish it was the 60s
Tonight Tonight Tonight
I wish we could be happy
Discotheque!
I wish I wish I wish
That something would happen

You know you're chewing heads on sticks

Pumpkins over Radiohead

AC/DC better then either of them

Beach Boys were better then all of them
