PJ Harvey and Doves. I'm really digging Damien Rice now, because I'm in my folkish phase (thanks for the intro!).
In case you were wondering, Angel's (excellent) tracklist:
Coldplay - I Ran Away
Wonderful song, could be an A-side on it's own.
Paul Oakenfold ft. Emiliana Torrini - Hold Your Hand
Bjork - Hunter
Damien Rice - Volcano
I love this song!
David Gray - December
Smashing Pumpkins - The Boy
I didn't know Corgan could actually sing like that! It reminds me of one of my favourite New Order songs, Age of Consent, which is a good thing.
Emiliana Torrini - Easy
PJ Harvey and Thom Yorke - This Mess We're In
Doves - Pounding
Elbow - Coming Second
Smashing Pumpkins - Tear
Lamb - I Cry
Well, I only know Gorecki and Cotton Wool, but Lamb are pretty good, so cheers for adding them in!
Zero 7 - Red Dust
Sarah McLachlan - Song For A Winter's Night
I don't really dig her music but I'll make an exception for this one. Gorgeous.
David Gray - Shine
I'm a Babylon convert, so I was rather surprised to hear this early one. His voice is very, well, Welsh. Lovely song.
Damien Rice - Cheers Darlin'
Emiliana Torrini - Gollum's Song
I haven't got into Emiliana Torrini just yet, to be honest. I've had a fear of Bjork ever since I heard the rather unlistenable 'Birthday' by the Sugarcubes, and everything by her afterwards, and while Hunter contains the really tech line about being Scandinavian, I'm still scared of her. Emiliana's voice has too much Bjork-nuance in it, but I did enjoy the last one (even though I hate the movie). Takes time, I suppose. All in all, wonderful CD! Thank you!
