So far Backchannels stands out, Glass Bones sounds very similar to something off of Animal Life.

I've listened to this album several times now and I love it, not sure if I like it more than Animal Life or The Golden Archipelago but its up there.

The vocal repeat effect on Stray Light at Clouds Hill goes on a little too long imo, beautiful song otherwise.

rook is still probably my favorite shearwater album, even though animal life is by far my single favorite shearwater song. words really don't do justice how great that song is.

For me Backchannels is my clear favourite, also a fan of Filaments as well

Glass Bones reminds me of Pushing The River from Animal Joy, mostly due to the guitar. It's my favourite song on AJ so I have no complaints.

This is a fine album but for now my least favorite going all the way back to Palo Santo. The electronic embellishments are nice but don't add all that much. Seems to lack a bit of energy compared to Animal Joy.
