Ranking the songs after >10 days

What annoys me about this forum is people bashing on the album just for the sake of bashing. People are very nit-picky, and arrogant.
However, what I see from these types of thread is that people love the album for different reasons. I think that this is why NLOTH will stand the test of time as a great U2 album. Everyone here seems to have different views about what are the stronger and leaker songs on the album and this tells me that the album has great appeal for all U2 listeners.

I personally think the album is the most complete since POP.

I chose to list the songs I enjoy listening to most, rather than give my opinion one what the best songs are.

Songs I enjoy most: (very hard to pick)

Songs I enjoy listening to less are:

9. Stand Up Comedy

But as a whole album, all the songs fit well together. I do enjoy the ride of the first half of the album more than the second half though.

I added Winter into the tracklist at #8, between Stand Up and Fez-Being Born... and I have to say the album sounds a lot more complete to me... not saying it's an A++ song but it's solid and it just fits.

Loved NLOTH at first. Still think the intro is excellent, but the No Line chorus sounds forced. Still a very good U2 song.

Cedars have defo grown on me. The likeness of WAS sees me drop it down the list.

Opening 4 tracks are still as good as anything since JT. Though SUC and GOYB are the poor relations, Winter in its current unfinished state would still be in 10 or 11.

Similar to my original list, with a few small changes. Boots still brings up the rear. The thing with this song is, I like the music, but Bono kills it. I've seen criticism of Bono for being "over the hill" and sounding "out of breath" playing this song live. But its all Bono's fault, his fitness is not the issue. Why oh why does he have to jam so many words into some songs these days. He's much better on some of the other new songs, where he says so much more, with far fewer words. And it fits the music better when he doesnt sound like hes trying to pack a novel into a song. The vocal pacing on Boots is just horrible. When they play it live, half of the time it sounds like Bono is trying to catch up to the song. Its just jarring. With a partially revamped vocal that song could be kick ass imo.

Vertigo suffered from this as well, but not quite as bad imo.

To be honest, I haven't listened to it much recently because I've been so busy and really want to take my time with the album, but I still think Crazy Tonight is the weakest song on there and I still love White as snow the most. Of course I still love Magnificent and Moment of Surrender. Breathe has grown so much on me after seeing it live and Being Born may be one of my top 3 songs on the album. There is still no song I skip. Stand up Comedy is the second song that has grown on me a lot, I like it much more now than I liked it first.
