Between Untitled Unmastered, Endless and Emotion Side B, artists have really taken to releasing supplemental albums in 2016.

All for it.

All I want this year now is a surprise Grimes EP.

And Jay Electronica's album, but let's be real.

Maybe around the beginning though it tends to warm a bit my the time it hits May. Mid April might be mid 50s-ish

Hmm. No clear contender for best song of 2016 for me. I guess I'd probably say Cult of Luna & Julie Christmas, "The Wreck of SS Needle".

Some other major candidates for me:
- Memoryhouse, "Laney"
- Big Ups, "Capitalized"
- Rob Crow, "Red: Alone"
- The Hotelier, "Soft Animal"
- Nite Jewel, "Nothing but Scenery"
- Turnover, "Change Irreversible"
- Somos, "Reminded / Weighed Down"
- Yumi Zouma, "Short Truth"

So, lots of good songs but nothing that immediately screams "best damn thing of the year" like Grimes' "Flesh Without Blood" does for last year. It came on in the bakery yesterday and I had such a fucking hard time not making a dick of myself by having a big old dance.

listening to Achtung Baby while overtired and drunk with half a bottle of wine left and work tomorrow was an extremely bad idea. I should stop.

Those fucking yak or whatever the fuck they are in the background, man. They're just two dumb shit animals having a fight. WHY IS IT SO POIGNANT. WHY DOES IT MAKE ME CRY SO FUCKING MUCH. WHY DOES IT FIT SO FUCKING PERFECTLY WITH ONE.

I cant even think of best song of this year. But that Underworld album was surely nice. Haven't really liked not many songs from some Heavy rock/metal realm so I can't really comment.

I have a few in contention so far:

David Bowie - I Can't Give Everything Away

Radiohead - Daydreaming

Mitski - Happy

Savages - Adore

Probably a few more I haven't thought of yet.
