Appears that U2.com has bitten the proverbial dust.

5 hours, 18 cigarettes, 5 emails to ticketmaster, 1 email to BBC's Watchdog programme, 1 email to 'The Daily Record' newspaper (it's a rag but it's our rag) and NOW...the official site is dead.

Bizarrely, I've started to laugh hysterically.

PS Hi, how are you all? Nice to meet you!

Yep, dead as a doornail. As if this whole process wasn't crazy enough... now us Chicago lookers are going to have to reinvent the wheel.

My guess is that it's probably due to thousands of people from the US logging on to get tix.

Even THIS server's struggling to cope!

yeah... I tried to log on at 7:05 Pacific (that would have been 10:05 eastern....) and no U2.com. IM a dummy and never wrote my code down anywhere else...not evening pondering the possibility the site might go down when it would count. Oh well.

Well for whatever it's worth, I sincerely hope that the US fans have much better luck we did in the UK

Now to plan my revenge...mwah haa hah hah
