Well sports fans, I was here for all four shows and I too felt like Bono last night tired, with a sore throat after 3 nights of giving it my all in the GA line, getting front row in front of Edge and Bono on the 9th, the first night of taping, and rails outside the eclipse the other nights.
Saturday was a good show, but Monday and Tuesday were definitely the best shows.
Last night was good, I really enjoyed it but I did notice an energy level difference, fans seemed less enthused than previous nights.
I think if you are in the ellipse, it's much different than if your further back in the stadium.
I had a reserved seat last night, but walked right past the security and onto the floor. I managed to get 8 deep behind the rail outside the ellipse, and noticed a big difference in fan behavior from those not on the rail or in the ellipse.
I felt the performance was good, but there were a few musical mishaps, and I noticed there were several technical gliches with the automation and the screens.
Bono did have a sore throat and a lady from principal managment told us wed. night that his back has been bothering him, so I think he took it easy last night, and I can't blame him.
I'm as tired as he is..lol it's been a long, but glorious week.
Was it the best show of the week, no, Monday and tuesday were, but last night was good, and I enjoyed hearing a slightly different set.
The show is what the crowd makes of it and I felt that the fans as a whole were flat last night.
I think all the casual fans got last night tickets because the true fans already had the 7th, and 9th tickets.
I still enjoyed it, but my hopes and prayers are that I will be blessed and that the footage from monday will be all on the DVD, and that you will be seeing, me, Tim, Brad, Roman, Jennifer, Rod, Julianne, Rebekah and all the other cool people I met this week on the DVD every time you watch it..lol
