U2 Grant 'Stay' To 'Moulin Rouge' Composer
01.24.2002
Bono has teamed with Scottish composer Craig Armstrong to record a new version of the U2 song "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)."
The remake of "Stay," which appeared in its original form on 1993's Zooropa, will be featured on Armstrong's second album, As If to Nothing, a spokesperson for the composer said Wednesday.
Due April 2 on Massive Attack's Melankolic Records, As If to Nothing also features collaborations with former Lemonheads singer Evan Dando on the ballad "Wake up in New York," drum'n'bass producer Photek on "Hymn 2," and fellow Scotland natives and guitar experimentalists Mogwai on "Miracle."
