A recent thread popped a question in my head. What songs move you? I mean songs that make you completely stop what you're doing, cause you to sing along, songs that make you close your eyes and feel it through you. Lately at work I've been having this happen alot. A few songs that come to my mind:
"In your eyes" - Peter Gabriel
"On the turning away" - Pink Floyd (took me forever to track down that song)
"End of the Innocence" - Don Henley
Not the greatest songs but for some reason while I was slaving away - the songs just affected me in ways that they'd never done before. What songs do that to you? I'm thinking about making a cd mix of songs like those. Other songs that pop in my mind are "strange desire" by INXS and "dance with you" by Live.
I'm almost sorry to say that U2 songs have never really done this to me. I think it's because I pay so much attention to the words of the songs and just not the wave length it puts out.
