More Europe dates in 2011, album out in late 2010

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Take That have 8 sold-out gigs in Wembley next summer......

Take That is extremely, extremely popular in the UK obviously. They're playing 27 gigs in UK stadiums, 16 in London and Manchester (combined). I think U2 will play 1 or 2 more UK shows if they return to Europe.

Take That blow anyone else out of the water in the UK.

A more pertinent point is Brent Coucil used to only allow a certain amount of shows at Wembley per year. If they still have this policy U2 won't be doing any nights there this summer

Maybe 2 times at the new Olympic Stadium, not more.

London's new Olympic Stadium is going to be used for concerts?

Just how many stadiums in London are being/will be used for concerts?

Wembley, Olympic Stadium, Twickenham, Emirates, etc.

There's also Ricoh Arena, Villa Park, and the National Bowl (not really a stadium) just up the road.

I guess U2 will have plenty of stadium options.:D

U2News: U2 360º Tour - Rumores de Norteamérica y Europa

Can someone more fluent in Spanish than I please set them straight.

Weren't these dates the same fake ones that had come from another Spanish site a few weeks ago? Is it just a rehash of a rehashed fake list?

Weren't these dates the same fake ones that had come from another Spanish site a few weeks ago? Is it just a rehash of a rehashed fake list?

The Spanish dates were the original joke dates, then these got posted.

i have heard this,

August 12, 2011 - Gelsenkirchen, Germany at Veltins Arena
August 16, 2011 - Munich, Germany at Olympic Stadium
August 17, 2011 - Munich, Germany at Olympic Stadium
August 20, 2011 - ?
August 22, 2011 - Paris, France at Stade De France
August 25, 2011 - Amsterdam, Netherlands at Amsterdam Arena
August 26, 2011 - Amsterdam, Netherlands at Amsterdam Arena
September 3, 2011 - Belfast, Northern Ireland at Casement Park
September 6, 2011 - Edinburgh, Scotland at Murrayfield
September 9, 2011 - London, England at Wembley Stadium
September 10, 2011 - London, England at Wembley Stadium
September 12, 2011 - London, England at Wembley Stadium
September 13, 2011 - London, England at Wembley Stadium
September 16, 2011 - Dublin, Ireland at AVIVA Stadium
September 17, 2011 - Dublin, Ireland at AVIVA Stadium
September 19, 2011 - Dublin, Ireland at AVIVA Stadium

Then, as a joke the Eastern European dates were put in place of the ridiculous German ones.

It all makes my head hurt. :banghead::banghead:

When take that announced their shows I wondered about this . I emailed Brent Council to ask them if there was a maximum number of concerts that can be held each year and they told me that there was no limit .

So you see, four U2 shows in Wembley in September are completely possible and they will be absolutely fantastic! :D

I just can't make up my mind which day to squeeze in Richard III at Old Vic just to top those four U2 shows? :)

Thats only because they are back after many years,
we are talking about a band that has been active around there in 2009 and 2010.

Take That toured stadiums in 2009 including 4 nights at Wembley and 5 in Manchester (and could easily have done more in both) - the return of Robbie this time hasn't made much difference. As far as the UK is concerned no other act is even close to them as a live draw.

You forgot all the countries in Central Asia that end in "-istan".

I'm sure Borat would approve.:laugh::wink:

And what about countries that aren't formally recognised like Western Sahara? It's really just a few hours drive from Fez :)
