More Europe dates in 2011, album out in late 2010

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

I don't think Live Nation care about people's cashflow :)

The reason they might is they love to issue press releases saying 'sold out in record time' rather than have slow ticket sales. There have not been many 'big' tour announcements or ticket sales this month. You don't get as much bang per buck making a big hoopla announcing a concert tour that people don't have the money to buy. When 360 tour U2 dates have been announced the ticket sales have followed days later.

Yeah but most people would find a way to buy the tickets even if they have no money for it at the moment. Or is it the case just with me? :D

Sure I'd beg and borrow to make it - but the casual concert-goer that is essential to fill large stadiums would not.

As I can see (at least in this country) casual concert goers buy their tickets just a couple of weeks or days before the show or even the day of the concert.

I think U2 shows are sold out quickly mostly because of fans and touts. And these always find the way to buy the ticket when the sale begins. (Well this is just what I think of course :) )

I would think it fairly obvious that if another Euro leg is happening, and a new album is happening, they'll be 'launched' together.

Cool!!! Let's hope it happens happy wave!

And where did you hear that?

Looks a bit like that stuff made up as a joke on the Spanish site mixed up with 2009 dates.

Hell, with all these fake itineraries recently I won't even believe it when I see it on U2.com... (I hope I'll see some European dates for 2011 there...)

Interesting stuff, it would be nice to know one way or another, it's good to see that they are still adding dates to the tour

*praying for this to be true*

There's no way they're returning to Germany again. It took far too long for last year's dates to sell out. And Paris AGAIN? That's about the only place that got dates in 2009 and 2010. Four times Wembley may be stretching it quite a bit too...

3 nights in Germany, arguably one of the overplayed markets?
4 nights at Wembley, when they struggled to sell 2 out in 2009?

The rest is 'believeable'

That would be the first time they intentinally booked 4 shows in 5 days in awhile. Even on Vertigo they usually avoided that, though scheduling shows around booked up NYC venues made them do it a couple times.

That's a lot of UK shows to fill, including Glastonbury.

3rd annual Paris show??

I would have thought Eastern Europe or Norway would get something.

My point is that while those that saw U2's London shows in 2009 may have hunger to see them again, the 100,000+ festival attendees seeing U2 in late June may have their U2 appetite satiated. It'll only be 6-8 weeks later.

Who knows, maybe they like the show much that they want more :)

I would think that average Glastonbuy audience isn't much into U2 anyway or I am wrong?

Glastonbury is sold out anyway :)

Yeah everyone please dream up an itinerary that includes Eastern-Europe too :hyper: :D

August 12, 2011 - Bucharest, Lia Manoliu Arena
August 16, 2011 - Kiev, NSK Stadium
August 20, 2011 - Gdansk, Baltic Stadium

There you go. This rumour lark is easy:lol:

You're probably right. If they do play though, i think the audience will be surprised how good u2 are live..

I think the tour will close in Dublin, these rumours have been around for months now..

Yeah right , 4 times London > 2 times Amsterdam ?

Thats bull, especially if your a Dutchman yourself, you should know better.

I think if there are further European shows this year they should be announced within a few weeks. People will start organising their summer holidays sooner or later... :hmm:
