Honestly, the first story wasnt exactly all that ingenius either.
If you go watch an action movie, you have to take it for what it is: Dumb Fun. No more, no less.
That being said, I agree that the story isnt as good as the first one. I still liked it and found it 150% entertaining. I go to movies to be entertained, and Matrix Reloaded did that and more.

I admit, sci-fi is out of my league.

Good lord, when you see Aragorn fighting THE battle...wow it's amazing.

Saracene said:I saw it and wasn't impressed. The first fourty minutes are enough to send you to sleep; the scenes in Zion would be at home in a third-rate Star Trek episode. The rave/sex scene was frankly ridiculous (I'm straight but sorry, I'd rather sleep with Trinity) and way too long. The movie livens up considerably starting from the Oracle scene and the freeway chase was first-class as was the truly mind-bending scene with the Architect. Unfortunately to get there I had to sit through some tedious repetitive fights and dodgy CGI shots that made the Smith brawl look like a video game. I'm still looking forward to the Revolutions, though.
