Melbourne Meet Up thread

So what's the dealio?

As it stands right now, tomorrow's plan is:

Jen and cin are catching the train from Geelong that begins from South Geelong at 2:29pm. It rocks through Werribee at 3:02pm. It reaches Spencer Street Station at 3:33pm, where I will be waiting, photographing trains and such. We'll make our way up to Flagstaff Gardens and TranceEnding will meet us there a bit later, once she finishes work.

I'm bringing muffins and, I think, wine glasses. Hopefully somebody else is handling booze and other food and a picnic blanket or something. I'll also have some U2 memorabilia on me.

How does this all sound so far? What do we need to add?

Also, just a reminder to everyone that sharing mobile phone numbers would be a good idea - amakaxver[at]gmail.com for me.

Perhaps you can listen to some samples of his music there? Jeff was the singer/guitarist for the Canadian band the Tea Party, but the band split about 3 or so years ago now, so he's been working on a solo career since then. I've seen a bunch of his shows on the last couple Australian tours and they are really wonderful It's kind of a mix of his new acoustic stuff and the heavier sounds of Tea Party songs. He's a pretty amazing guitarist/musician and vocalist ... often including alot of Middle Eastern instruments and sounds.

I think he's pretty well worth checking out!

I'm surprised they didn't just hold onto it until next year and release it in lieu of an actual tour.

Also, the muffins are cooking now, but I fear I totally botched the mix. We'll see how they turn out. I may have to make them again tomorrow morning! I said I'd bring muffins, and come not enough milk and too much butter, I will bring muffins that are edible rather than flourtastic!
