I still remember what Osmosis is from back in the day doing GCSE Biology:

Osmosis is the movement of a solvent through a semipermeable membrane into a solution of higher concentration from a solution of lower concentration.....or something like that

So maybe reverse osmosis is that reversed.....

Why cant I fix my scanner and dont understand computers and what is BIOS and UBS settings' and drivers and corrupted files

What's wrong with your scanner that it needs fixing?

BIOS is a set of motherboard instructions that direct the processes necessary to get your computer to boot, to recognize computer drives and peripherals, etc. Without it, your computer wouldn't work.

USB is a standard to attach devices to your computer.

Drivers is the software that gets your devices running on the operating system (Windows, for instance).

Corrupted files are bad things, and that means that you should reinstall the program or drivers that are corrupted.

If I knew your Windows version, I could help further.

I think its Windows 2000 no wait i jsut checked its windows 1998

I tried installing the drivers and then it says the scanenrs installed...

And then I go to add new hardware and it says the scanners installed but theres a problem with it so I see what the problem is and it says the drivers arent there....so I went to the website of the scanner ppl and downloaded them but it doesnt help and the disk we got witht he scanner is rubbish

and when I went to validate files it said some Failed

Theres a thing called registry checker which always comes up on our computer and ruins everything like the internet would it ruin files?+++

Im VERY confused Im like the most computer illiterate person ever

And it tells me to make sure USB settings is enable in BIOS
