... would it be Do You Feel Loved? :cool:

I love everything about this song!!! :love:

starting from...

The opening! It's like a light bulb that goes on!

The drums kicking in.

The steady bass line kicking in.

The way Bono sings "take my shirt... go on, take it off me..."

The rising guitar in the background soon after that line... leading upto the chorus :combust:

How he sings "with my fingers as you want them, with my nails under your hide...", how he says 'hide' :drool:

The line "and it looks like the sun but it feels like the rain" and the "ohhhhhhhh" soon afterwards

The entire bridge... what sexy lyrics

"Love is coming, pushing and shoving
In the belly of a woman
Heavy rhythm taking over
To stick together
A man and a woman
Stick together
Man and woman
Stick togetherrrrrrrr"

The way he sings 'feel' here:

And I feel loved
Do you feel loved?

Last but not least... the orgasmic ending

Do you feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel

*bass line returns*

:heart:

Come to think of it, EBTTRT, Velvet Dress, Mysterious Ways (live) etc. give it some good competition but DYFL is a class apart!

What do you guys think? Lengthy descriptions welcome. :sexywink:

Definitely Do You Feel Loved. :yes: I remember hearing it for the first time and being terribly embarrassed by the lyrics (I was fourteen and that kind of thing was still a bit taboo, hee.) Everything about the song is sex though, yes. The driving rhythm, the dirty guitar.

Yes. Yes to all of that :drool: there's a reason Do You Feel Loved is the most played song on my U2 iPod... :wink:

But I dunno, Your Blue Room... that song is sex. The whole thing. The atmosphere is just unreal. If You Wear That Velvet Dress is the same way. The Jools Holland version is good, but the album version is much, much sexier imo. Edge's solo with Adam's bass pulsating throughout is absolutely perfect. Adam's bass owns this song :drool:

Live, definitely Mysterious Ways. For reasons discussed in the other thread. The slide solo and Bono's ...er...Bonoisms (falsettoing, moaning, singing, talking, muttering, screaming, whatever) take the song to a completely new level, though like all sexy songs in the end it's all about the rhythm section.

Oh I could just go on and on about Do You Feel Loved :drool:
And...
Your Blue Room
Even Better Than The Real Thing
Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car
Salome
Mysterious Ways
Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
If You Wear That Velvet Dress
Babyface
Miami
Pop Muzik
So Cruel
Desire

Heheheheee :wink:

I love the end of Your Blue Room, with its atmospheric guitar effects. I could definitely listen to an extended mix of that :drool:

Holy Joe gets me in a similar fashion, just the sound of it. The rhythm section is pure oomph :drool: :heart:

"The Fly"

I love everything about it! Its love and sweet hopelessness mixed into one song and its beautiful. I especailly love this one live from the Chicago DVD... although I have heard there are better live ones.

Partial lyrical analysis:

High, higher than the sun

sun=wang

You shoot me from a gun

gun=wang

I need you to elevate me here

elevation=erection

At corner of your lips

oral sex

As the orbit of your hips

coitus

Eclipse

anal sex

You elevate my soul

elevation=erection
soul=wang

I've got no self control

animal sex

Been living like a mole now

mole=wang

Going down, excavation

coitus

I and I in the sky

I=I
I="I" ;)
sky=vagina

You make me feel like I can fly

flight=penetration

So high

deep penetration

Elevation

elevation=erection

Alternate theories: it's about God or his dad.

:lmao: typhoon!

I have always thought that "Lady With the Spinning Head" was the perfect sex song. Especially the instrumental break in the middle of the song...if you listen to that, really listen, it's like hearing an orgasm.

Mysterious Ways is the most sexiest song I've ever heard by any band. Even the guitar sound is sexy. I don't know how The Edge managed to make it sound sexy.

:lmao:

thank you for your brilliant analysis

yeah the extended mix of Lady With The Spinning Head is incredible.

typhoon, that was great! :lmao:

But I'm surprised more people haven't agreed with me on DYFL!

Actually I'm equally surprised nobody's raved about EBTTRT!

Well, it depends on the mood you're in. If you want something slow and deep, you can't beat If You Wear That Velvet Dress. :drool:

But for sheer driving passion, then I agree that Do You Feel Loved is teh sex.

Your Blue Room, for me. I mean you've got the seduction of Bono's low voice, the anticipation of the falsetto, the hypnotic organ, the image of the 'blue room' where any instructions will be obeyed by him, then the guitar at the end and the falsetto is kind of rhythmic, like the climax of the song, then you have Adam's post-sex little chat.

;) Yeah, it's my mind. But I think it works!

Mysterious Ways, An Cat Dubh, Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me, etc...

All their edgier, funky songs would fit the mood I think. But Mysterious Ways especially.

short answer for DYFL

YES

others include velvet dress, EBTTRT (TAKE ME HIGHER!! moans...:drool:)

This is the best thread ever.

Also, DYFL = the sex. End of story.

I definitey had a U2 sex mix until 3 days ago when my laptop died, and it somehow didn't make it onto my iPod. But yeah, DYFL, Velvet Dress, Your Blue Room, Even Better, etc etc.

And I have definitely done unmentionable acts while playing Achtung Baby... :wink:

Really? To me, EBTTRT seems more like a song about...umm....self-service (even better than the real thing..)? :uhoh:

I agree with DYFL, though. And Lady With the Spinning Head. :drool:
