and the 45 second rule is about as bad a trying to sit through an hour of the WB :yikes:

I tried watching an hour of Smallville, but it was so damn ridiculous and formulaic (would anyone like to see LMP's Smallville Episode formula?)

ok, here's an episode of Smallville

1) Crazy things afoot with something involving kryptonite, Clark and friends have TEEN problems, o boy!
2) Shitty intro with that bad Remy Zero song
3) Obligatory Teen Culture references
4) Lex is bald as somewhat conniving!
5) More crazy things afoot, Clark finally gets a clue and checks it out, but has no idea what's going on
6) Obligatory Shower/Makeout/Swimming/Let's look at Lana or Lois Lane
7) More crazy things afoot!
8) Random scene with Clark talking to his parents about the crazy things afoot
9) Clark goes to Lex to see what's up, which basically is like this:
Clark: "there's some crazy thinga afoot, are you involved with this???"
Lex: "of course not Clark, I'm your friend?"
Clark: "You are aren't you?"
Lex: "...Yeah, I am, :blahblah:" *meaningless exposition that viewing knows but Clark doesn't!!1oneleven*
10) At the same time, the chick who plays Lana has a secret! :shh:
11) Clark and Co. fight the crazy things causer and it's usually pretty lame
12) Clark solves his Teen problem and gets to go back to the farm with an awkward conversation with his father Bo Duke (or did he play Luke Duke?)

Smallville's not worth your time

Fields of Gold is such a soft soothing track... for an evening after a hard day's work when you're in your living room, sipping some wine.. with dimmed lights and a comfortable couch... :combust:
