But I think in most European countries Father's day was last week, at least here it was (Belgium) and I think it's the same in Ireland.

I have no idea when father day is or was here, because we don't celebrate it, but I think I have heard on the radio or read somewhere that it was on the first weekend in June.

Here it is always the second sunday of June (ditto for mother's day in May)

I'm pretty sure it's like that in Ireland too..

I once heard an interview Bono did on american radio (phoned in ) and there was talk about his birthday, that was on the same day as Mother's day (in 1998 I think), so it couldn't be anything but the second sunday of the month.
