Email Jo Whiley at Radio 1

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Jo isn't on this week, sounds like Nemone.

Besides, call me cynical, but I can't see Radio 1 giving U2 bad press as they won't want to sour the relationship.

 I'm with you with this one WAB, there's a difference between deliberately setting out to give U2 bad press and generally alerting the public to the difficulty of purchasing the tickets.
 It's pretty ridiculous IMO to remain stubbornly loyal to a cause that is grossly unfair. Allow people to formulate their own opinions on the matter, but to try and cover up the scandal because of being afraid of betraying the band is simply ridiculous. The more people know about this the better I say, and who's to say that it wouldn't do the band members any harm to be made more aware about what they're doing to their fans with this whole ticketing farce.
:hmm: Actually, come to think of it I'm really struggling to accept that it was U2 themselves who proposed the extortionate fees so I don't see any protest as a direct dig at the band.
